Book Club Tea Party

Are you in a book club? I’ve always wanted to join one, and not just for the wine and chit-chat, but because I love to read and love to discuss plot twists, characters and storylines with others. I think that it would be oh-so fun to get together with a group of friends every month or so to discuss our latest read while making a list of must-read books for the future. Emily Giffin’s books always land on my must-read list so you could imagine my excitement when Random House reached out asking if I’d be interested in reading her latest book, “First Comes Love“.
I plan on diving into the book tonight so I’ll report back on how it is but before I get started I thought it would be fun to style a shoot around a book club tea party (maybe this will be the kick I need to actually get in a book club!!).  and hopefully inspire your next book club get together!
Keeping in a blue and white theme, I pulled out miss matched plates and teacups and topped each place setting with a copy of Emily Giffin’s “First Comes Love“.  I prepared simple chive cream cheese and cucumber tea sandwiches, and filled cake stands with mini cheesecakes and raspberry popovers and placed bowls of Moose Munch popcorn from Harry and David on the table.
