Urban Decay Naked Smoky

I’m not usually one to change up my make-up routine and I usually like to keep things as natural as possible. My day to day routine is fairly simple but when I’m feeling a bit adventurous or if I’m getting ready for a night on the town I like to add a soft smokey eye to my look. Not only does it add that extra bit of drama but it is a great way to add a little bit of glam to your look. To achieve this soft smoky eye I used the Naked Smoky palette from Urban Decay. The palette comes with everything you need to achieve the perfect smoky eye look, it has has 12 neutral shades a double ended brush and a look book that shows you how to achieve four different smoky eye looks.

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

1. COMBUST // 2. ARMOR // 3. SMOLDER // 5. BLACK MARKET //   5. HIGH

To enhance my hazel eyes I used colors that had more of a purple undertone and by following the instructions for the smoky cat, I created a look thats perfect to transition from day to night.

To create this look on your own use Urban Decay Naked Smoky and follow the steps below…

1. Using the smoky shadow brush apply COMBUST evenly across the eye lid.
2. Use the smudger brush and apply ARMOR from the outside of the lid to the center of the lid.
3. Use the shadow brush to softly blend ARMOR into COMBUST.
4. Using the smudger brush apply SMOLDER to the outer corner of the lid.
5. Blend with the shadow brush into the eye lid crease, in a back and forth motion.
6. Dampen an angled or flat eye liner brush and apply BLACK MARKET to the lower lash line.
7.  Blend SMOLDER onto the lower lash line using the smudger brush.
8. Dampen an angled or flat eye liner brush and line the upper lash line a with BLACK MARKET. Extend the the line up-ward at the outer corner to achieve the “cat eye” look. Dab HIGH in the inner corner of your eyelids.
9. Curl and apply mascara to eyelashes to complete the look.
10. Done!
