I never knew a bowl of oats could be sooo good! I’ve always been a fan of oatmeal and for years would make a warm, hearty bowl for breakfast but then somewhere along the way I kinda just stopped. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we always have these muffins lying around? Either way…making this power oatmeal has me back on my oatmeal kick in a big way. This bowl of oats is my ideal bowl; full of flavor, packed with antioxidants and ‘power’ foods and oh-so delicious! I’m always trying to find more ways to incorporate power foods into my diet. I recently started drinking H2rOse because the benefits or rose water are ahhhmazing… think purifying, mood enhancing and of course full of antioxidants. Whats not to love, right? H2rOse also enhances their waters with saffron which is known to ease digestion, soothe irritated stomachs and enhance your mood plus the flavors are just straight up delicious.
Simmering the oats in the rose water instead of water or milk added such a great flavor to the oatmeal. Giving it just the right amount of sweetness and infusing the oats with a slight berry flavor. Topped with a drizzle of maple syrup and fresh strawberries for a truly delicious and power packed breakfast!
Berry Power Oatmeal:
Ingredients:
– 1 bottle of H2rOse Berry
– 1 cup old fashioned oats
– 1 teaspoon maple syrup
– 1 banana
– fresh strawberries
– raw almonds, chopped
– pinch of hemp seeds
– pinch of chia seeds
– pinch of salt
Directions:
– In a pot, combine rose water, oats and salt. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the oats are cooked. About 10 minutes
– Top with maple syrup, banana, strawberries, almonds, hemp and chia seeds.
Enjoy!
