A Summer Table

When it comes to summer entertaining I think we pretty much can all agree that a leisurely weekend afternoon spent nibbling on tasty bits and cooling off with a refreshing cocktail, or two, is time well spent.  Lately, I’ve been relishing in casual, spontaneous get togethers with delicious food that goes straight from the grill to our plates, opposed to a full on sit down dinner, over the top tablescape extravaganza. But, that doesn’t mean that isn’t the first place my mind goes when I think about summer entertaining and summer tablescapes and I fully intend to go all out at some point this summer. Until then, here is a little mid-week inspiration with tablescapes that scream summer perfection!

When it comes to summer entertaining dining al fresco is almost always preferable and instead of flower arrangements try placing potted herbs along the table or using palm fronds in place of a table runner.
