Who doesn’t love a good happy hour? It’s the perfect excuse to kick back and relax, munch on delicious bites while sipping a cocktail or glass of wine and spending quality time with friends. One of my favorite ways to spend a Saturday afternoon is at happy hour and lately I’ve been brining all my favorite aspects of happy hour, home. An afternoon of small bites and drinks always feels way more laid-back than a dinner party and is ideal when you only have a short window of time.
One of my appetizer go-to’s is (and probably always will be) is a good cheese board overflowing with tasty accoutrements and hummus with an assortment of crackers and snap pea crisps (they’re ridiculously good dipped in hummus!).
When building the perfect set-up for happy hour I like to offer my guests a variety of different flavors and options. A few different cheeses; a goat, a blue and something creamy, a few different meats and of course a few crackers in an array of flavors. Harvest Snaps have significantly less fat and sodium than traditional potato chips which I love and adding them to my cheese boards means that I can feel good about snacking on them and offering them to my guests.
The Onion Thyme Lentil Bean Crisps paired perfectly with the traditional hummus. Don’t get me wrong- they’re delicious on their own but dipped in that creamy hummus….YUM.
The Wasabi Ranch crisps are unbelievably flavorful and really quite addicting. They’d be perfect with an ice cold beer and are ideal for those who like a little more spice in their snacks.
While Harvest Snaps Crisps are key to happy hour, don’t forget to build up your cheese board with other nibbles to offer your guests…some of my favorites include: cornichons or marinated olives, marcona almonds and grapes, but feel free to get creative!
