39 weeks and officially full term!
Baby boy could make his appearance any day now and the waiting game is real. We’re beyond anxious for his arrival and we wish there was some way to know exactly when he’ll make his big debut, but since there isn’t we’re trying to keep busy and make the most of our time together as a family of two!
The past 9 months have been somewhat of a whirlwind but incredibly exciting at the same time. It seems like Marc and I have been talking about what we think the baby will look like, what his personality will be like and how the first few months with a newborn will be (sleepless I’m sure), for months so to know that we’re down to the wire is kind of surreal.
I want to thank you all for your sweet comments, encouragement and advice as well as for following along on my pregnancy journey. It means so much to me and I hope you continue to follow along once baby M makes his big debut!
39 Week Bumpdate:
How Far Along: 39 weeks- full term! Baby is the size of a mini watermelon, weighing in at around 7 pounds!
Gender: BOY! See the gender reveal here.
Pregnancy Symptoms: I’ve had such a wonderful pregnancy and have been really lucky that my only symptoms have included lower back pain and acid reflux. Both come and go so I really can’t complain!
Sleeping: Pretty well and still managing to get 8 +hours each night…I’m starting to wake up more during the night when the baby moves around (he is so wiggly!!) but am usually able to fall back to sleep shortly after I readjust.
Milestones: Hospital bags are packed, nursery is done and the car seat is in the car! I started my maternity leave a little over a week ago so I’ve had a good amount of time to tie up loose ends and to get my ducks in a row before baby.
Exercise: Definitely an area where I’ve had to slow down. I have found that if I do one of my kickboxing or tabata workouts in the morning I’m completely exhausted by 1pm. Instead I’m limiting kickboxing to about 3 times a week and going for walks the other days (usually somewhere between 1-3 miles depending on the day).
Cravings/ Aversions: I can’t say that I’ve had any real cravings or been averse to anything these past few weeks. I’ve been sticking to a healthy diet but enjoying pizza and chips on occasion. All about that balance!
Nursery: Finally done! I’ll be sharing a full Nursery tour sometime soon but in the meantime you can get a look at my inspiration for his nursery here: Vintage Americana nursery
Feeling: Excited, nervous, anxious and just about every other emotion! I’m also a little shocked that it’s almost go time…where did these last 9 months go?! There are times when I still feel like it hasn’t hit me, that there will be a baby here in less than two weeks!
