28 weeks! I can’t even being to wrap my head around how fast this pregnancy has been going, I feel like we just announced our big news and here we are, already starting the third trimester! So far, I’ve been feeling really good and overall loving pregnancy. I thought that I might have a hard time watching my body change and adjusting to the weight gain but I honestly rarely think about it and find it pretty incredible that my body just knows what to do and how to prepare for our little guy. It’s truly a miracle!!
Read on for a little 28 week update!
28 Week Bumpdate:
How Far Along: 28 weeks and officially starting the third trimester! Baby is the size of a large eggplant and weighing over 2 pounds!
Gender: BOY! See the gender reveal here.
Pregnancy Symptoms: I think that I’ve been really lucky with my pregnancy. I still feel great, have been sleeping well and really haven’t experienced any of the bad side effects. I will say that my back is starting to get sore but it’s definitely nothing to complain about.
Sleeping: Great! At least for now…I’m hoping that I can continue to sleep well for these last few months.
Milestones: Last bumpdate my favorite milestone was feeling the baby kick and just within the last few weeks we’ve been able to see the baby kick! My whole belly moves and it’s so cool!! Some of his kicks are getting to be pretty powerful and I can only imagine how much stronger they’ll get over the next few months but I absolutely love feeling and seeing him move around.
Exercise: I’ve been keeping up with tabata and kickboxing workouts (I’m obsessed with the Daily Burn app– so many good workouts!) during the work week and on the weekends Penelope and I go for long beach walks.
Maternity Clothes: Definitely! Aside from a few pre-pregnancy dresses, jackets and leggings I’m almost exclusively in maternity clothes. Some of my favorites: these skinny jeans, body con dresses and simple ribbed tanks like these.
Cravings/ Aversions: I can’t really think of anything that I’ve been craving or averse to, trying to eat the majority of the time but of coursing letting myself enjoy something sweet here and there!
Nursery: Last week I shared the inspiration for our Vintage Americana nursery…and since then we’ve picked up the crib, ordered the chair and started to source some of the decor!
Feeling: Like time is flying by! Our little guy will be here in no time and we can’t wait. Marc and I constantly talk about what we think he is going to look like- definitely thinking he’ll be a little blondie but so excited to finally get to see and meet him!
