TGIF! Happy, Happy Friday!
A little over a month ago I had went to the Honolulu MedSpa for a HydraFacial. It was absolutely fabulous and my skin had never felt or looked better in the weeks following the HydraFacial. (You can read about my experience here.) I decided I had to go back but this time I wanted to try something different. I worked with the same amazing and very knowledgeable esthetician that I worked with on my HydraFacial and we decided that the Fotona Laser Peel would be best as my next treatment. Because I am still breastfeeding Miles we had to make a few slight adjustments to the treatment. Traditionally the Fotona Laser Peel uses some products that are not safe for nursing mothers so instead of having the full powered peel that requires a numbing cream, I went with a lighter strength peel because we had to skip the cream. The treatment lasted about 50 minutes and through each step, the esthetician explained what was happening and what she was doing. I’m not going to lie, the laser did hurt a little bit and I looked like I had a sunburn for about 3 days following the peel but after that third day, the skin started to flake off and by the fifth day I was in absolute awe of how amazing my skin looked! The dark spots on my face from years of sun exposure and the little bit of melasma I acquired during pregnancy had all faded if not disappeared altogether. My pores were noticeably smaller and my skin was the smoothest it has ever been. Not to mention, my skin had a glow that I hadn’t seen since I was pregnant. I am almost two weeks out from my treatment and I’m still noticing those same amazing results.
This was just my second treatment at Honolulu Med Spa and I can see why their patients keep coming back. The whole experience from beginning to end is relaxing and peaceful. The staff is so friendly and kind and everything from the treatment rooms to the waiting room and the front desk is impeccable! The Spa showcases art from local artists which are great for supporting the community and giving their patients something new to browse each time they visit.
Thank you to Honolulu Med Spa for the complementary treatment.
